Another man has been arrested on charges related to a stolen car from a locked garage in the 73-3400 block of Halemau Street, police said.

The 2004 Audi sedan and other items were stolen on Sept. 27.

The first person arrested was Kolton Bannister, 21, of Captain Cook, who was charged with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, burglary, unauthorized possession of personal confidential information and two counts of theft.

On Monday officers located a second suspect, Dyllan Paulo-Leslie, 20, of Captain Cook. He was arrested on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. He was taken to the Kona police cellblock while detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigations Section continued the investigation.

On Tuesday detectives charged him with burglary, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, unauthorized possession of personal confidential information, theft/forgery of a credit card, fraudulent use of a credit card, two counts of forgery and five counts of theft. His bail was set at $23,500.

Police caution the public to remove items from their vehicles that contain personal information, which could lead to unauthorized access to bank accounts.

Bannister has already appeared in court and his case was transferred to circuit court, where he will have a hearing on Oct. 15.
